Notes: The above image is centered on the extremely faint galaxy Sextans Dwarf (= Sextans I). Sextans I is unfortunately not visible, but near the bottom border of the above image the irregular dwarf galaxy Sextans A is captured. Sextans A spans about 5000 light-years across, and is located within the Local Group of galaxies, which includes our Milky Way galaxy.

Besides Sextans A one can find three further interesting objects:

  • Abell 957 (galaxy cluster)
  • Palomar 3 (globular cluster)
  • Uncatalogued nebula (in right part of above image)
