4,073 galaxy clusters. The first member of Abell's catalog is shown in the
upper image. Abell 1 contains many galaxies, but these galaxies are very
faint and very small, because of the large distance of this galaxy cluster
to earth:
- redshift z=0.125
- Light-travel time = 1.5 billion years
